4 Months Old

Let's see, where to begin?  Well, we haven't had too much going on lately, but we have been busy.  We went up to North LA weekend before last and then last weekend was spent doing stuff in the yard/prepping to do stuff in the yard.  We're so excited that the weather seems to finally be warming up, even if it means it's time to do yard work again -- going to Lowe's to buy the stuff to re-do our flower beds, actually re-doing the flower beds (this was 95% Scotty; I was taking David Scott to have his Easter pics made); going back to Lowe's to buy additional bags of mulch to finish up the job.  Let's see...what else???  It seems like there's always something we need from the store or some place we need to go; life is just exhausting at times.  Fortunately for us, David Scott is very easily able to acclimate himself to new/different surroundings.

David Scott, you:
  • Weigh 13 lbs., 14 oz.
  • Are 24.5" long
  • Are constantly putting your hands in your mouth.  We literally cannot keep them out.  You're sucking on your hands more than your paci these days. You haven't quite figured out yet that you can put the paci back in your mouth, but boy can you pull it out and toss it across the room!
  • Just last week started playing in your jumping thing.  I have no doubt that once your feet can touch the floor, you'll be bouncing/jumping like crazy.  You're so active and alert when you are awake.
  • Sleep for about 4-5 hours during the day and have been waking up around 3-ish each morning for a little snack.  I think you've slept through the night once since my last mention of that event.  (I KNEW I shouldn't have shared that on the blog -- putting it in writing jinxed me!)
  • Just started eating rice cereal on Sunday night.  You are actually eating it better than I expected you to being that this was the first time you've experienced a spoon going into your mouth.
  • Are wearing a Size 2 diaper
  • Have a few little spots of eczema on your back.  Dr. K said you'll probably have allergies, but that it shouldn't be too bad since you seemed to be so active.  But, hey, we do live in LA and everybody has allergies.
  • Smile ALL THE TIME!  Everybody remarks at what a happy baby you are.  And they're right, nothing seems to really bother you.  You're just a happy-go-lucky little guy and I hope you stay that way.
  • Can wear size 3-6 months in your clothes and a couple of outfits that are size 6 months.
Little Man!

This is what Lola was doing while I was trying to take DS' 4-month old pics.
